Despite the crowds this garden was special. As you entered it made you feel different, a sense of quite and piece settled despite being surrounded by many people. The garden rooms surprised you and I found myself stopping and thinking of how the space had...More

Temple itself was fine, but the garden was beautiful. We walked from there through the bamboo forest, which was really spectacular.

This is a calm, placid place to visit. The zen garden, the lake, the temple are all beautiful. If you can do please book to eat at the vegetarian temple, you will not be disappointed.

Went as part of a Tour off a ship. It has lovely and peaceful gardens, did not get to see the temple as ran out of time.

We didnt make it to the temple since the garden is a really huge piece of greens to walk around. And it felt so serene here. Bird chipping and various flower blooming.

The walk through the temple was great, but the grounds are what you will remember. The gardens and the walk through the hills give you a beautiful view of Kyoto.

Hi ! The last time i visited Tenryuji Temple. We paid entrance and went inside via the entrance by the bamboo groves. there is no name on the outside of the gate. It's right before the slope of the road is uphill
