Keage Incline should be one of the best sakura viewing spot in Kyoto. In fact, the place was a defunct rainway track and during our visit there by early April this year, not much flower could be seen. Anyway, the spot could easily be found...More

I can say that this spot is one of the best Sakura viewing during April. It may be crowded during the season but it's really worth it going there. I think it's an unused railway with tons of cherry blossoms along the way and it's...More

Not far from Nanzen-ji Temple, there was a popular sakura spot for local people. In fact, it was a defunct railway track but on both sides, there were many cherry trees. So during the period when the flowers were in full bloom, it was very...More

We'd seen some pretty blossoms during our stay in Japan but these were by far the most spectacular. They were absolutely stunning and you can't go to Kyoto without going here during Sakura season.

A little tricky to find, but if you are visiting the Nanzen-ji temple area during Cherry Blossom season then you may as well try to locate this incline as there is an abundance of Cherry Blossom trees growing here. When we came here the trees...More

My review is mostly similar to the philosopher's walk review. Nice place to view cherry blossoms, but beware the crowd. This story is likely similar for many other places during this season, but if you don't have a lot of time and really want to...More

Come early because it is a popular sakura viewing spot. We walked from the Philosopher's Path to Keage Incline and the view was fantastic. There's several people doing photoshoots in the area. It is also recommended to wear comfortable shoes because it is hard walking...More

The cherry blossoms were fanntastic, especially the higher up the incline you walked. We went for the engineering structure and were blown away with the blossom. The walk started with the free museum at the bottom and we finished with the stroll next to the...More

It's free, and it's simply amazing during sakura season. An abandoned rail track with blooming sakura trees from a hill isn't something you would recommend to most tourists but you have to see it to believe how great this is. We had lunch here under...More

Keage Incline and Okazaki Canal are the must go in the cherry blossom season in Kyoto. Although these are not known as Philosopher's Path, Nanzen-ji, Heian Jingu, they are also very beautiful in the season. I was able to see great Sakura there this year!!...More

No district of Kyoto is quite as representative of its

I do not think there is observation closing time. However there is no light for incline. So, there are some risk. I recommend to visit day time.
