Tour the facility that produces Japanese coins and medals of honor and visit the historic coinage museum year-round. If you visit during the spring, you might catch the cherry blossoms on the Mint's 400 cherry trees.

I had a good time here, but since I came during cherry blossom season, there were sooooooo many tourists. If you want to avoid the crowds then maybe give it a miss.

Arriving 1st day in Osaka on the 14 April 2017, my wife thought that we missed the Sakura Season (cherry blossom) as "sakura" opened earlier this year around end of March 2017 for Osaka and Kyoto. Surprisingly, it was still ongoing at this sightseeing spot....More

A wonderful place to visit if you arrived late in April and missed the main cherry blossom season. Absolutely stunning and the blossoms are at their best, the varieties...even the lime green colour, most beautiful. Do check the opening hours to avoid disappointment.

There are over 300 cherry trees with 100 plus varieties. The trees are tagged in Japanese and people can locate them on the map. The park opened at 10:00 but be mindful that it is closed on the weekends. The crowd can only walk one...More

Hi, I will be visiting Osaka at the middle of March and I don't think I will be able to catch the cherry blossom season, but will it be worth it to still pay Zohei Museum (Mint Museum)'s garden a visit? As I know the entrance is free during cherry blossom season for a week, but how about prior to the cherry blossom season, is there any entrance fees? Note, I am not so interested with the Museum itself.

There is 3km from JR Osaka station to the destination. Alternative plane is use Tanimachi-subway from Higashi-umeda to Higashi-morimachi, and the walk 15 min. Near by you can see Osaka-jou castle.
