- Cat CUnited Kingdom436 contributionsSo pretty at nightMost reviewers have already written most of what there is to say about the wheel. It's a lot less to ride in the non-transparent gondolas. The view is just as good and all that you will miss is transparency beneath your feet. Also, the lines for the transparent gondolas is very very long. Gorgeous at night and you will certainly capture some amazing photos.Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten October 8, 2023
- WorldTravellerSoonCanada376 contributionsFree with Osaka Amazing PassWe went there early in the morning on a rainy weekday. There we just 2 of us at that time. We chose the car with see through bottom. It is not entirely see through and I don't think it adds more thrill. The ride is about 15-20 mins. We did enjoy the view even though it rained heavily.Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten March 27, 2024
- geo3Calgary, Canada1,893 contributionsGreat viewsThis is about 4 blocks or 350 m north of the Osakoko metro station, so it is quite easy to get here by public transit. The Aquarium is right next door. It moves very slowly and gives great views. Price is very reasonable compared to, for example, the London Eye or the Singapore Flyer, especially if you are content with the normal cars rather than the ones with the see-through floor. Wait time for the normal cars was nil; I walked right on. At the top views extend as far as downtown Osaka to the east, the mountains north of Osaka, and the as far east as the Akasi-Kaikyo bridge west of Kobe. Great fun.Visited October 2023Travelled soloWritten August 12, 2024

Definitely a must if you're not afraid of heights. Also, it's free if you decided to get an Osaka Amazing Pass, so make sure you get one. It's really really worth every cent or yen. We heard the line's especially long during the weekends so go on the weekdays, and possibly around 10 when it opens. Ohh it's a bit chilly up there so bring a jacket.

The Tempozan Ferris Wheel is a hard-to-miss place. It towers above the Tempozan Market shopping mall and is just within the vicinity of the Kaiyukan Aquarium. Almost certainly you will pay this ferris wheel a visit just because you are within the vicinity.
The lines were not long. The attraction being what it is, people are always steadily getting on and getting of the carriage. For a higher price you can pay to be in the carriage with a transparent floor. They do not allow for strollers to be parked in and around the ferris wheel, the attendants there will either fold it for you or if the stroller is small enough, allow it to be put on the carriage with you while still being open.
The ferris wheel ride takes about 15 minutes as you ascend, reach the peak and then begin to descend. We rose the ferris wheel at around 1 PM and the skies were clear so we got a great view of the Osaka skyline and Osaka bay.

If you're coming for the aquarium or Lego Land, you may as well do this. You can choose from fully see-through carts (which have a huge wait time) or normal carts (your view is not impeded at all). We got straight on the normal cart. Great views all around!!

Very expensive for what it is, but I guess maintenance is expensive. I went with my young son at his insistence toward the end of the operation hours so the line was short, it moved fast anyway. Nice to see the night view of Osaka city, there are illustrations on the windows too. The teenagers in the car above us were freaking out and causing a fuss, lol. It's alright for tourists if they like this kind of thing.

If you are traveling from Tokyo to Osaka then you should not try this. In Tokyo you have Kasai Rinkai Park and odaiba park fairies wheel which is much much better than this. This is not value for money at all.

We got there late and the service was still excellent. Japanese are amazing. My wife took all the photos and she enjoyed Japan a lot.
Osaka is the best livable city in Japan and there is a reason for it. You get to see the night view of Osaka from above. The ferries wheel is not scary and it is quite enjoyable for tourists actually. We still have to walk a short distance to the place at night, and it is not dangerous or scary at all like in the US.
Osaka is a place I will definitely go back again.

We didn’t plan to go at first, but since it’s just next to the aquarium we decided to give it a try.
We came just around the sunset and had an amazing expirience. I’d recommend this to everyone who will be in the neighborhood.
If you’re visiting aquarium, than Ferris Wheel next to it is a must.

How do I go from Namba Station to the Tempozan Ferris Wheel? Me and four others are planning to head there after 8pm
Written January 31, 2019
There are actually several ways to get there. Using google maps in Japan is very reliable! The station closest to the Ferris wheel would be Osakako Station!

How much is one regular ticket or how much the Amazing Osaka card and what is included? We stay 1.5 days in Osaka.

What is the cost for the normal one and the glass bottom one ?
Written December 13, 2018
I used the normal car, it cost ¥800. However I don’t think there is a price difference as they offered me to choose either cars, but I picked the normal one as I didn’t want to wait for the glass bottom. Hope that helps!

If I from sakurajima kanohana ward, what transporation can I ride (cheaper one)

Transfer at Nishikujo is very easy, just step off the train to your right as you come into the station, the anti clockwise Osaka loop line platform is in front of you.

Hi, we are catching a cruise boat from Osaka and was wondering what people thought about the port experience eg immigration, customs and easy to find the right pier?
Written November 28, 2017
I do apologize as i haven't taken the cruise there!
wish you best of luck
Enjoy

Hi , we are catching the cruise ship L’Austral from the Ponant line at Osaka. How far are cruise ships piers from the Ferris wheel? Are the cruise ship piers easy to find?
Written November 28, 2017
The cruise embarkation is just in front of the Ferries, depends on what time your cruise leaves the Port, you can spent some time around the areas namely, The Sea Aquarium,Kaiyukan, and the Market Place. There is a Osakako Station nearby
