I feel like i was robbed at the day light. My advice from station is quite far from near station. Im suggesting using map and pocket wifi. Not really fantastic. In the paid area there are main hall and tower. Cannot take a photo and inside of them is nothing. Unless you come to pray in Buddha religion. Dont bother... More

It is a large temple with many historic and beautiful buildings and shrines. There is an incredible amount of history and reverence. The architecture is also quite beautiful. Would definitely recommend a visit if you're in Osaka.

Far from the madding crowd, and the opposite of the crazy, trendy frenzy of Osaka's shopping districts, Shitennoji Temple is a space of peace and tranquillity in the middle of the city. What I loved was its distinctly local feel, with fewer tourists in sight. I ended up wandering in this area the whole afternoon and stumbled across an amazing... More

A 10-minute walk from the station. We went during the Tanabata celebrations. The whole area was very lively. There were many stalls for food and games. At the end they had a fire ritual to burn the paper wishes that visitors wrote and tied to the bamboo.

Always a nice pleasure to come here. Sometimes there are also interesting entertainment going on as well. Not much people, but usually crowded during weekends and market days.

To that end, we felt a little out of place here ... we stumbled across it looking for the zoo. The statues at the front gates were particularly intimidating. We ook a short walk around, paid respects and left.

This temple has been around for a long long time. The temple had a little pool where there were ducks and tortoise. It was really peaceful and clean. Overall, it is a place of worship and people still use it.

Most Japan tourists come to Osaka to take a break from marvelous temples of Kyoto and Nara, but Shitenno-ji Temple is still a recommended destination in Osaka! The first true Buddhist temple, Shitenno-ji is a serene complex in the midst of the bustling city scene that is perfect to stroll especially in the early morning. Shitenno-ji Temple is dedicated to... More

This is a rather average and not too impressive temple. The temple is located a 10-minute walk from the central Tennoji station. It features several shrines and a pagoda. As we were visiting the place after dark, we were unable to access one of the shrines, but managed to have a decent 15 minute stroll through the temple's ground, which... More
