Our guide walked us through Osaka streets to this funny shrine. We could touch the little god named Biliken statue. In order to get luck. Worth a few minutes.

This is a shrine with the statue of a golden cat, which was the symbol of the Shinsekai area. It is supposed to bring in good luck and fortune and lots of business here.

If you stroke the feet of the statue, it is believed that your wishes will come true.

You will also notice replicas of Billiken in front of business establishments all around the Shinsekai area.

It is enshrined in the new world. This is the pride of Osaka merchants with a strong business spirit. Tourists are flocking to the area so much that it makes me nostalgic for the tranquility that existed during the height of the pandemic. Billiken must have collected quite a lot of money. I would like to count them.
