We found this gallery very interesting. It was great to see the batik being designed and then painted. The assistants in the gallery were very helpful and informative.

Honestly, it was a great treat to create my own personal souvenir but boy it was REAL work. I worked hard and long on my project and thanks ot the lovely assistance of Inca (sorry as I may be misspelling her name) I have a beautiful scarf that I will cherish always. I showed up flustered as I was late... More

The place is easy to find. You don't have to be part of a tour to visit the shop and factory. The factory is where you can try to make your own batik with guidance. It looks easy but you definitely need a steady pair of hands. There are plenty of items to browse in the shop. Hand made items... More

i found many crafts and batik products are not local made, is more like trading company and bring in goods and sell high price, giving commission to tour guides

But touristy and overpriced. Not recommended unless it's on the way. Obviously targeted at tourists. Wanted a scarf but put off by price.

Thank you for your visit. We understand your concern about our price. Handicraft industry in Malaysia is very challenging as it is hard to get local talents to work in the industry. In order to keep the local talents and maintain the quality of our products, our price may be higher and it may not be accepted by everyone. Please... More

Watching the batik being made and all the fabrics are gorgeous. Should give visitors especially children a chance to paint without it being part of a class. But a lot of it seemed overpriced but gorgeous

It's interesting to see a handful of artists working on batik with wax and paint, but the factory and workshop are clearly set up to attract customers for the enormous shop selling batik products and other souvenirs.

Thank you for your visit and review. The area of the batik workshop is about 4000 ft2 and the retail showroom is about 6000 ft2. We hope you enjoyed the batik making process which is free to all visitors. More

It was quite easy to walk to this place from the main shopping area of Bukit Bintang. Prices are reasonable - if I recall correctly it is RM50 for an A3 piece that's pre-drawn in pencil. You get to trace the outline with the special wax then paint to your liking. There is a smaller square available and it comes... More

Went here for a batik workshop. Booked online the evening before, but this wasn't necessary. The workshop was great! I made a scarf (90x90 cms) and had so much fun. You can use patterns or freestyle yourself. The woman who teached me was a bit shy bit very helpful and friendly. Great experience! Your batik is ready the next day,... More
