About
Check out KL Forest Eco Park, a lush forest reserve located in the heart of the city next to the KL Tower. This nine-hectare park is home to over 200 tree species and wildlife, like the silver leaf monkey and long-tailed macaque. A highlight is the Canopy Walk, which offers stunning views of the park's oldest trees, such as the Jelutong and Merawan Batu. There are also many hiking trails to explore. The best part? Admission is free. Visit in the morning for fewer crowds, and take advantage of the cool shade offered by the trees. You can easily explore the park as part of a city tour of Kuala Lumpur's best sights. – Tripadvisor

To expensive, not updated but great canopy walk
We visited with our two boys and they loved the canopy walkway. The place is not updated, no signs about the trees that you can actually read. The price is very expensive and they only take cash. We were allowed to go back down the trail after we had visited the tower at no extra cost and the kids was on the house because they didn’t have any change. On the way down we wanted to go another way, but ran in to two barking dogs. One of the dogs chased us up the stairs and the worker seamed to know about the dogs and scared the dog away, like he had done it before. A scary experience. The place need an update, which is a shame because it’s such an great contrast to the big city and has a lot of potential.

    KL Eco Park
We visited the park in the morning. The canopy trail gave us good views of the park below and of the city skyline in places. Doesn’t take long to walk around - 30-50 minutes depending on your interest in trees. Just beware of the monkeys as when we were there one tried to attack a couple.

Fun to walk over the hanging bridges, just next to the KL Tower
A fun place to enjoy nature and walk over hanging bridges and just next to the KL Tower. The entrance is from the car park drop off of the KL Tower. The family enjoyed running along the hanging bridges to let off some steam after the KL Tower and enjoy the natural environment. Cost was MR40 per adult and free for kids. Mosquito repellent recommended.

Now charging for entrance and it’s cash only
We got to the entrance then found out that it was cash only for entry so we had to leave and find an atm. When we returned we were about to go in but a couple leaving said not to bother. It was very short and not worth the money. It used to be free but they now charge. So we cut our losses and spent the money on something else.

    Rustic shaded trails
Excellent uncrowded and real park. Spend a couple of hours walking the shaded trails and wobbly overhead suspended walkways. If you like rustic this is about as good as it gets in central KL. Some steep ish sections are unavoidable so not for those with breathing issues etc.

Good experience in the middle of KL
We liked our walk in the park. Other reviews comment on the price, and yes, it might be a bit too pricy, but we still liked it. It is a part of jungle just in the middle of KL. There wasn't too many other guests, when we were there late in the afternoon, so we enjoyed walking around in the last part of the KL forest. It is such a contrast to the busy part of KL. We will recommend it. It is isomething different. NB! Signs could have been better, but you just walk up to the KL Tower - then it is easy to find at the top.

We are more than happy to pay entrance fees and are used to us foreigners paying more than the locals but 1 MYR for a local Senior and 40 MYR for a foreigner Senior is a bit rich. I would be more than willing to accept the huge differential if the site was well maintained. Unfortunately, the place is so run down it is a disgrace. Nothing is clean, the herb and bamboo gardens are non existent, the tea rooms are shuttered, the paths are moss covered and would be dangerous if wet, etc, etc. If not for the canopy walk we would have felt completely cheated and disillusioned. Not worth the effort of getting there and back.
Very sad.

It's a bit of a con and very expensive. Foreigners must pay a very high fee to enter this scrap of land in the heart of KL. Don't be fooled. It's not really an "Eco Park". You're better off walking around the Botanic Gardens for FREE. There is so much incredible natural beauty all over Malaysia. Don't bother with this.

You can skip this park. It was a nice walk, but that's about it. I mean, you can walk anywhere else and you don't have to spend 40 MYR per person. The park was pretty run down and by the way, we exited the park at a different place than the entrance where you could "just walk in".

In a word, abysmal.

No issues paying the foreign visitor premium, but this park is just sad. Trash strewn about (first thing in the morning no less...) and not much of anything to see.

Do yourself a favor and skip this. Or stop at the entrance before paying and take 2 minutes and look at the view (same same as going in). There, I just saved you $8.

And to whomever is managing this attraction, do better. This is quite sad and you clearly suck at your job.

Rip off, foreign tourists have to pay RM40 for a 30 min walk. Not worth it. Just a park, nothing special about it. Better option is KL botanical garden, diverse, big, well maintained and free.

Nice bit of rainforest in the middle of the city. Loved the canopy walks and there are also nice, easy hiking trails.

This is very over priced for what is really a city park. A number of the pathways needed maintenance. Some other travelers we met also remarked that this was over priced, especially as it used to be to be free, even then we wouldn’t recommend.
