The sunset views at golden hour are a highlight; it's also when the bar is the busiest so try to reserve a table and get there early to snag seats along the outer rim of the open-air terrace. You'll get unobstructed views of the Kuala Lumpur skyline as you indulge in craft cocktails, local beers, international wines, and succulent foods.

- sarah901234 contributionsThe best night in KL!This was the most exciting experience we had in KL!! So we paid 100 RM per head, which included two drink from a set list. If you wanted something else you would have to pay for it. The view was absolutely stunning, there was a DJ. At no point did we feel we were being rushed out or anything, it was a very chill evening. We reserved via instagram.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten March 16, 2024
- Lars Hallgren77 contributionsGreat Views and Good FunPretty cool here, a bit of a fuss to get to the helipad and you have to either buy a drinks combination which grants you access or a ticket. We took the drinks as we intended to stay for a while but the staff were a little unsure what to do as it looked like rain which never came. The views are amazing and you have unhindered views of the Warisan Merdeka Tower (2nd tallest building in the world), the Petronas Tower and the Menara Kuala Tower plus a really good view of the sunset. We had some bar food which was pretty decent too although a little expensive. Service was good once the staff had decided it wasn't going to rain. I can recommend this as a good tourist spot for party goers and photographers as it's a lot of fun, especially as the night moves on. Its a good idea to ring ahead and book a table.Visited June 2024Travelled with friendsWritten June 23, 2024
- Gitte KristensenAalborg, Denmark84 contributionsLovely bar on top of Kuala LumpurWe wanted to visit a rolftop bar and found this near our hotel. We had a little difficulty finding out how to get up there. It just looks like a kind of office building/hotel, but here you have to get in and take an elevator up to the 34th floor. Then you go into a kind of lounge where you pay 100 MYR to get the last piece up including 2 drinks. Unfortunately, there is no access for children under 18, but we were allowed to sit and get a beer and some snacks, but the sun went down and the lights lighted over the city. A beautiful sight. We were allowed to go a little up and see (only the adults), and it was just really a cozy bar with live music and a fantastic view beyond the city. Definitely worth a visit!Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten July 12, 2024
- Soraya0513Budapest, Hungary1,464 contributions360 view and delicious foodThis is the most go place for us when we are in KL. We love the view. All the important buildings can be seen from here. The cocktails, food are delicious. The entrance ticket is 100MYR per person but you can consume 2 cocktails. Special thanks this time to Emon. Thanks for the great hospitality and good luck in your future 🙃Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten August 6, 2024
- ConquerorsOfSummitsBangkok, Thailand364 contributionsA perfect spot to enjoy the view of the most iconic sights in KLIt’s not surprise that there are lots of roof-top bars and restaurants in KL, and it was pretty tough for me to choose the most appropriate one. At the end of the day, we opted for Helipad, and, luckily, we have no regrets about our decision, as the place met our needs all the way through. There are few reasons why we’ve chosen Helipad. Firstly, of course, the view. As it’s an operating helipad by day, 360-view it’s something we were looking for: you can easily enjoy all signature sights of KL, spreading before your eyes. My only advice is to contact Helipad staff in advance (as we did) to book the table on edge with the most exciting view. Yes, to get here you’ll need to pay 100 RM per person, but in our opinion this price is fair enough, given what you get in return: a stunning cityscape view and one drink: my husband went for glass of beer and I - for virgin mojito, and frankly speaking, drinks were quite decent. We did like service as well: it was friendly and fast enough. Moreover, you can ask staff to make shots of you with iconic sights in the background, and if photos are good (as it was in our case), don’t hesitate to thank your waiter with tips. The only thing we didn’t appreciate much was pizza we ordered: it seemed to us that dough was too sweet. But again, it’s matter of taste.Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten August 29, 2024
- GlobaltravellerGKuala Lumpur, Malaysia309 contributionsFantastic viewThe heli lounge was a great way to start an evening. The lifts in the building were run down, and the cocktails were … well they were not good, but the view was amazing. To be honest I probably wouldn’t want to drink too much on a helipad on top of a very tall building. A couple of drinks on a warm KL evening, light breeze blowing, city lights twinkling … nice.Visited September 2024Travelled with friendsWritten September 15, 2024
- Heiko KellerHagen, Germany43 contributionsOverratedThat was nothing. Admission of 100 Myr per person - including two bad drinks (beer, wine or a choice of 3 cocktails). We waited 20 minutes for our first drink. The waiters were unfriendly. The setting is great. However, there are significantly better rooftop bars in KL (higher, nicer, better price-performance ratio).Visited October 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten October 18, 2024
- Marleen VAruba33 contributionsFantastic view, friendly staffI honestly do not understand all the critism of some people. I had a very nice evening at the Helipad Lounge. Yes, the entrance fee is 100 R including 2 drinks. I understand this system though, as otherwise lots of people would wander around for half an hour to take pictures without ordering a drink. Thereby disturbing all the guests that actually would like a drink an/ or snack. Yes, prices are higher than anywhere else in Malaysia. But look at the views you get.... amazing!!! The staff was really helpfull and patient taking LOTS of photos from all their guests with the amazing skyline of KL. Would go there again.Visited November 2024Travelled soloWritten November 26, 2024
- Paul FIvinghoe, United Kingdom268 contributionsIt's a must do 👍Another night in KL, another rooftop bar! After a disappointing experience at Sky 51, it was a totally different energy here on the helipad! The staff could not have been friendlier and more helpful. Our 'Captain' for the evening was Arif, who was great fun and really played his 'role' brilliantly. By the end of the night we had him doing the Macarena with us! The whole team were absolutely super, taking photos for everybody all evening and the vibe they created was fab. We'd go back in a heartbeat for sure! Thanks to everyone for a great night.Visited December 2024Travelled with friendsWritten December 4, 2024

We paid 100RM each which included 2 drinks off a set list - there was 4 cocktails, a house beer and wine and non alcoholic drinks. Service was fantastic and the views were incredible.Visited January 2025Travelled as a coupleWritten January 20, 2025

The building its based in looks derelict, so one could easily walk past and we nearly did..
The building its based in has seen better days, but we persevered and took the lift to yhe 34th floor. We entered the bar and was given a pre rehearsed script all a little clichéd. I am your first officer, proceed to flight deck etc; mildly amusing I suppose.
Then 100 Rinngit each which allows access to the deck, which includes 2 drinks, limited to Tiger Beer, choice of 3 or 4 cocktail and fruit juice. So basically 40 Rinngit per drink and 20 Rinngit entry fee.
The views are uninterrupted around 360 degrees and the service was pretty attentive. The music playing was pretty good, think ibiza back ground chill.
Reason for 3 stars, its seen better days and at the end when I paid cash for done extra beers, the guy tried to short change me, only 8 Rinngit, but he knew what he was doing, so soured it a little.
We arrived at about 5.30 pm and left about 9pm, so saw the light go down and KL light up.
There are many better rooftop bars in KL. But as a novelty probably OK..

If you are going for the drinks, I’d go elsewhere. But if you are going for a view, you couldn’t go anywhere better. I went shortly before sunset and got to see the sunset over Kuala Lumpur and see all the buildings, including the famous twin towers and communication tower, light up after the sun went down. An absolutely remarkable view of the city and the entrance fee (~$20 USD) covers two drinks.

A bit of a hidden gem in the city. The entrance and elevator downstairs are somewhat dodgy but the platform itself is very nice. Entrance is 100RM for which you get 2 drinks (standard beer or limited choice of cocktails). We were there at the end of the afternoon and watched the city go from daylight to dark, which definitely made it special.
Staff is somewhat special… can’t say friendly or proactive came to mind. But you know what: once your drink has arrived and you enjoy the view with good company, it doesn’t even bother :-)

The visit costs RM50 per person, for which you receive 2 drinks. View is great, service is crap. Ordered drinks were brought one at a time with a half between the first and last drinks. The second drink was not delivered at all to 1 person (even after asking 3 times). Ended up leaving without a drink.

The concept seemed great: a rooftop bar with 360 views of KL.. but it is very disappointing. One couldn’t mess up this wonderful concept any more than this: from the outside you can barely find the place, no signs no lights, just an office building… after riding up by elevator you arrive at a reception. It looks like a cheap dump: decor is shabby, reception is rude and cheap. It is three levels below the helipad.. attendant demands up front payment before you can go up, presumably because they know how lousy the experience is. Then you climb three floors up in a dark and dirty stairways and you arrive at the top. No lights, just cheap chairs and piped music.. in the stairways are waiters busy texting on their phones instead of serving customers. it’s near impossible to get attention of attendants, can’t order water (?), and after some finger food and BEFORE leaving, attendant rudely demands to be paid immediately.. waiters barely speak English... other people coming down from the pad all had disappointed puzzled look. Like saying: oh well, we won’t go here again..
In summary: insulting, incompetent, cheap and not enjoyable…. If you are looking for an amazing night out, look elsewhere..

This place is a total disappointment and a rip off. My husband and I went are tourist in KL, Malaysia. We arrived at the entrance of Heli Lounge Bar at 7.10pm today, Sat 02 July of 2022. At the entrance, the bar has a hand-written note that said that an Entrance Fee of RM100.00 per person is payable and it comes with 2 drinks. No food for the RM100.00 Entrance Fee. We paid RM200.00 in total and was asked to selected 2 types of drinks listed in the Entrance Fee. We were then told that can go up to the rooftop after both of us placed order for our drinks. While I went to the washroom, my husband went up to the rooftop to get a table and seat. To my horror, he came down to inform me that all tables are taken / reserved. We felt that the hosts / servers should inform us if there is no tables available for us to drink and eat our food. At 7.10pm, it's dinner time and we are there to drink, eat and enjoy the night sky of KL from the rooftop. They should let us know that there is no tables available at the rooftop. When we left at 7.20pm, we saw about 8 people quening to get into the bar. They were like us, no clue that there are no tables available at the rooftop for dining. We told those people in the Q to forget about this place and we are happy that they listen. As we arrived at the ground floor of the building, an elderly couple said that they told us that there is no booking for table - only walk in. We told them that there are no tables available. It's better for them to spend their money elsewhere.

What a terrible experience! The downhill started with an unassuming and uninviting elevator lobby with no signage or anyone from the bar there to escort or guide the guests.
You arrive at a dingy restaurant and need to order from the menu shoved into your hands. Only after ordering the drinks, one is allowed to go upstairs to the roof top above.
The inexcusable part.
My wife wanted to start with a Mocktail first...but they didn't seem to have any mocktail in the menu. We were suggested to order a cocktail sans the alcohol...but they would charge the price of cocktail. A complete rip off!!
The terrible part.
I handed over my credit card for the two drinks we ordered. I was expecting my Cc to be returned back after the charge as is normal in other establishments. But NO! In exchange of my Cc to be returned I was asked to deposit RM 200 as hold money. What a dis-respect to the customer and what a shame for an establishment that claims to be one of the best in KL.
This made me boil over, had a heated argument with the floor manager and left the venue immediately.
After having been to Vertigo at Banyan Tree, Marini's on 57, Skybar at Traders etc. ; all having beautiful views and excellent customer friendly service the encounter at Heli Lounge Bar was such a big big let down.
Wish there was a zero or negative ranking available for reviews.

Our bartender Daniel was fantastic! Engaging, funny and a terrific personality. He made our visit special. Make sure you ask for Daniel if you visit. Take your drinks up to the helipad, it's not the tallest viewpoint in the city but the views are stunning, especially after sundown. Surrounded by Petronas Twin Towers, Merebak 118 and much more. Well worth the money.

Never come back!
I went there at 5:45 pm, it was slight raining (very slight), and no one was there. I met a lady at the entrance, she was super rude and unfriendly at the first. 100rm/person for 2 drinks, and the system was slow. Then she talked to the manager (I think). While I talked to the manager about the slow system charged me 200rm but there is no receipt coming out from the machine. The receptionist girl keep laughing, it was not until I asked her “why do you keep smiling?”, she stopped.
I live in KL for a year, and this is the first time I met a rude person like this. Never come back to this place!!!!

This is a cool spot for enjoying the amazing views of the KL skyline. It's not the cheapest place to go, but it's worth it. We hadn't planned on visiting as the weather in our time in KL hadn't been up to much, but I noticed a gap in the clouds late in the afternoon, so we thought we would give it a go. And we were not disappointed. The views are genuinely 360 degrees, with zero restrictions or fences. In fact, there is only a small rope like fence at waist height between you and the near edges of the building! We were staying at a hotel across the road which also boasted epic skyline bars and views, but they had a really arhaic policy that men must wear smart long trousers. Given I didn't bring any with me on this holiiday, it was nice to go somewhere that didn't really care what you were wearing so much (to an extent of course, Malaysia is still a Muslim country). The music on the rooftop was great and the service was brilliant too.

Hello, There is a an inside area.

Sorry, I do not know the answer to this question. Suggest you go to their website and get an email address and ask them directly, if this information is critical to your visit. There is a restaurant on the same level as the bar and I would recommend eating there after having your sunset drinks on the helipad. Enjoy.

Hi, are 15-17 year olds allowed to enter the bar with accompanying adults? If yes, children aged 7 allowed too? Would be arriving before 9pm which is the ‘nightclub’ session. Thanks.

Hello, I am sorry, but I don‘t know for sure. I guess, that it is not possible. At least as we were up there, we didn‘t spot any minors. I recommend you ask a local or maybe the staff at your hotel might know. Enjoy KL!

You have to buy a drink on the way in or you don't get access up to the heli pad, I am sure it can be a soft drink but you will have to buy something.
Written June 20, 2019
I have read that if you arrive after 9:00 p.m. (21:00) you will be required to purchase two bottles of wine or liquor in order to get a table on the helipad. Prior to that time you just need to purchase 1 drink. Apparently there is a dress code after 21:00.

yes, there is at least 1 drink per person mandatory, but yes the staff is very rude.
