As a commuter who rides the metro light rail trains almost everyday, I can say that the MRT-3 is indeed the worst among the three light rail systems in the National Capital Region. MRT-3 (Route: North Avenue to Taft Avenue) This is probably the most crowded during the peak hours. With its small train cars, short trains and long waiting... More

This is the worst train ive seen. So disgusting. Extremely long queue and trains arrive once in 15 minutes. So overcrowded and people are squeezed inside. This is trash compared to SG and KL subways.

As a big fan of public transportation systems, I always excited to check a new one out. In addition, subways or trains make sightseeing convenient and easy. Places like Singapore, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur can attest to this. Manila's light rail is woefully slow, dirty, sometimes dangerous and too small a network to be effective. The stations and cars reminded... More

I take the LRT going home everyday. It's supposed to be fast efficient and reliable except when there are "technical problems" aka malfunctions of the train which prevent its smooth operation. This happens quite regularly so anyone riding it can't totally rely on it. Some trains are old and some air conditioners are not functioning ,too. In 2015, the Management... More

Crowded even at 5 am on weekends. Not efficient, poorly managed. You need to wait for 20-30 minutes on a platform. Overcrowded, so you need to wait for the second or third train to get in. On rush hours they have lines like 1 km long, starting from far far away from an entrance. Think twice before your ride. It's... More

Always packed no matter what time you are going to ride, slow and defective. The fare was raised but the service still sucks. Bad transit system, such a shame for those who run it. If taxes were used for good; It could have been a better transport system. People don't have a choice and still line up on the long... More

Abysmally bad transit system. You can buy a Beep card to go South on route 1 but it doesn't work going North so you have to queue for a paper ticket. For some unknown reason 4 trains go by in the quiet direction for every 1 in the busy direction. You'll be on a heavily crowded platform and an empty... More

Manila has 2 Light Rail Transit System. The 1st one is a bit old and always jam packed with crowd. The 2nd one is the newest and has a larger space inside. With only P15-30/way, you can save your time traveling to places which may require you to get super traffic if you choose to ride with either taxi/jipney/bus. Beware... More

Not the best way to go around Metro Manila, but faster and cheaper than taking the cab. Schedule is very irregular, but then again this is the Philippines. And since this is the Philippines then you must watch your belongings at all times, especially in crowded places such as the MRT. Female foreigners and non-Manilena Filipinas who are planning to... I used to take the MRT to Makati but have stopped using it. Not only do we have so many commuters trying to catch the train to their preferred destinations but we also have trains that are so poorly maintained, the train rides are so unreliable. Moreover, due to the crowd, the stations have become the location of choice for... More
