This is an amazing, dynamic way to learn about the sad history of Manila. Advertised as a walking tour, it is more like a one man walking docu-drama that will leave you laughing, thinking and crying. Carlos delivers his message with an obvious love for the city that is often misunderstood. Well worth the price but be prepared for a... More

If you can put your imagination to work for a moment, and picture a child born to Debbie Reynolds and Peter Allen, delivered by Stephen Fry, and finally baptised in an orchestra pit somewhere in London's East End by John Williams, then you might come close to creating Carlos Celdran. His locally honed wit and brassy theatrics, provided the perfect... More

I decided to go on the Walk this Way because of all the reviews I had read (on the tour and of the man himself). It was also the first "tour" I have been on since moving here. The tour last for about 2 - 2.5 hours. We all met at the entrance of Fort Santiago in Intramuros. Carlos made... More

Took my foreign born young family members on this wonderful tour of Philippine history that they thoroughly enjoyed. Carlos is truly unique- he brings old Manila to life and we learn and understand. Nothing boring here. Even locals will definitely enjoy this.

We had long wanted to join Carlos Caldron's walking tour of Intramuros and it surely did not disappoint! It was the most interesting, entertaining, informative, totally awesome tour I have ever been on. Worth it and more! My 6-year-old daughter so much fun and it was gratifying to see her listening intently to every word Carlos said. I loved it.... More

We are a family of 5. This tour gave us the whole history lesson in one go. It was theatrical, interesting and kept my teens and young adults interested, even in the heat. Carlos was an inspiring , dedicated and interesting tour guide. Not too much walking ( always good when kids and heat are involved)We also loved how he... More

We are a family of 5 (children aged 4, 7 & 11). Carlos's tour combined histo4y, comedy, tragedy, and the occasional scream in a way that made the tour accessible to all of us. I found myself embarrassed about how little I knew about Philippine history, and Carlos's tour was full of "A-ha!" moments. Gave my visit to the Philippines... More

...in a pill: depressing at times, but with the right blend of humour as well :) Carlos the tour guide is definitely Manila's superstar! Let's hope that his crusade to improve the city will succeed one day, so Manila could reclaim the lost title of the pearl of the Orient!

Carlos spices up history while delivering many hard truths about the effects of WWII on Manila. This is always the first thing Manila expats recommend doing because it provides insight on how and why Metro Manila has developed they way that it did, and the role Manila played in the battle for the Pacific. I always take my out-of-town visitors... More

I had the privilege to join one of Carlos Celdran's Walk This Way tours around the Ermita-Malate area. I used to live there, but as it goes, we never really know how amazing our neighborhood is. The tour highlighted the restoration of old buildings in these districts, and one can't help but feel endeared towards the efforts not to destroy... More
