Binondo Church is lovely I like the place and it's beautiful, the church is a mix of new and old Manila combining the Filipino and Chinese culture and artistry.

A church steeped in history. I would urge everyone to google the history of the location before visiting so it has real meaning to you.

It was an eye opening experience. It is at the edge of Chinatown. It has a different "feel" unlike other cathedrals. You have to be there to witness it.

Decorated with brightly coloured massive art work and sculptures. Open windows and fans moved the warm air around.

Binondo church was nice inside and out and a quick walk from carreido LRT station. I've seen a few China towns around the world and this was very authentic but very dirty and run down and not a tourist place.interesting to see though and some good photos. China town style shopping and restaurants. Not an easy place to navigate though... More

This church is the Minor Basilica of Saint Lorenzo Ruiz, the Philippines' 1st Saint. Being of Filipino-Chinese descent, it is very appropriate for its location in Binondo, the world's oldest Chinatown. The church has been destroyed and rebuilt many times due to calamities and war, its oldest surviving facade is the big belfry/bell tower. While you're here, enjoy the paintings... More

The Basilica Minor of San Lorenzo Ruiz (Binondo Church) is located centrally in Manila's Chinatown. This Church was where Saint Lorenzo Ruiz served as an "escribano" prior his martyrdom in Nagasaki, Japan. San Lorenzo, the first Filipino saint is the patron saint of the youth and OFW.
