Intramuros, "The Walled City," is the oldest district in Manila. This is what remains of the fortified city, which was the seat of power during Spanish Colonial times (1521-1898).

Lots of spanish looking streets and a street resembling old Vigan. Lots of commercial fast food. Parks to stay and museums to visit. If you want q cheap date, this one's for you.

You can spend a few hours here walking around in the old city. Definitely need to stop at St. Augustine Church while you are here. Only thing that was stressful was trying to find a taxi to leave during rush hour.

My boyfriend stayed in Manila for 2 years before settling to Mindanao. He toured me around Manila, and this maybe the best place I've been so far. It's like we were time travelling back to the Spanish Era. Such an Incredible experience!

If you're in Manila and have a day to spend, Intramuros (latin "intra" = within, and "muros" = walls) founded by Miguel Lopez de Legazpi, 1571) is worth a visit. The "Walled City" (another name of Intramuros) is a big place with a couple of...More

Worth doing city tour for new/old Manila together. We did half day tour, ideally you need full day as alot of time is wasted whilst stuck in traffic. Cathedral and Fort Sandiago are cool. San Agustin church is closed 12-1 so plan your visit accordingly.

Since you are in Manila, you most likely are going to visit the old town... Great architectural pieces of history from the Spanish times. Good to just walk around slowly and enjoy. No need to hire those bike rickshaws - Intramuros is not that big,...More
