Far too cold and huge rollers coming in, the day we visited, but the sand beach was high quality for the great lakes, and it was clearly well maintained... EZ access to town and other sites, plus nice picnic/playground areas nearby.

A good place to experience the water. For a first time visit it really let you experience the vastness of the lake. I collected a bunch of shore rocks. It was very relaxing.

The bridge is lit up at night, goes up every 30 minutes! There are lots of little shops around. We got an ice cream cone & walked around.

The beach and water is rocky so wear pool shoes. I enjoyed the small unguarded beach and the scenery nearby. Parking had deep holes but you can navigate. The light house is barely visible. Had a good time in the sun and water but suggest...More

It wasn't too hard to find this beach. It has a sign that shows where to turn to. The dirt road was quite large and the parking lot was humongous! The beach was quite wide too. All driftwood was located on a mount of sand,...More

Walnut Beach is a great place to visit. While there you can fish off of the breakwall, play on the playground, have a snack at the stand, look for beach glass, or listen to bands play on a summer Sunday evening.

Another disappointing year from Walnut Beach. Upon arrive the entire park looks delapitdated. The facilities are horrible. There's no real changing room, only bathrooms. Beach was full and water was warm. Wish they took better care of this beach.
