Lakemont

Place needs updated. Some of the rides are old and authentic. The train is a must ride. Do not ride any of the rides that will make you dizzy

Took my grandkids with my daughter to Lakemont for a day out. I knew going in that it isn't one of the "mega" parks like some of the other major amusements but I did expect the park to at least try. One of the very few GOOD things was I accidentally left my purse on a bench and someone returned... More

We took our family to Lakemont Park in Altoona, PA and we all had a blast. It is not as commerical compared to many other amusement parks. The lines are short and your able to get right on the rides. It was a great way to bond with my children.

We went there for their summer kickoff free for memorial day...so glad it was free because if I would have had to pay for the experience I would be even more upset. They have signs and announcements that the park is smoke free and yet there are still ignorant people who walk around the park smoking...now I understand that the... More

Lakemont Park used to be beautiful with mature trees and the finest wooden carousel, but the county sold the park and the trees were cut down and the carousel was sold in pieces to the highest bidder. The rides haven't been updated in years. The park food is terrible. There is a water park that young children will enjoy. Older... More

Don’t expect a big time thrill park- think more along the lines of traveling carnival and you won’t be disappointed. Lakemont is a small, family park. It has all the typical rides that you’d expect to find on a carnival midway, with the added attraction of a big roller coaster and a speedway (additional fee for each). The rides are... More

Very similar to Delgrosso's. It has some different rides and also has a day each week when you can get in for 5$. This has a few bigger kid rides like roller coasters and it also has the oldest roller coaster which is really a lot of fun.

I grew up in Altoona in the 1950,s and all our family reunions were held at the park. We loved the wooden roller coaster, oldest in the country The waterpark is fun for grandkids, but I remember fun summer days spent in the large pool and diving off the board. Paddle boating on the lake is great exercise and in the... More

Best part of the park is the leaping dips and that is a pay per ride. Parking & admission is free which is nice. The rides are old, which is not always bad, but lack of maintenance can be. The park is about 3-4 hours of fun and thats it. The wooden coaster is rougher than most wooden coasters I... More
