The trails you hike, the birds you see, the nature you experience in the area are all because of this group. Kudos to this Association

The Wissahikon Creek is one of the natural treasures in our area. A group that helps maintain it deserves all the acclaim we can muster. Go there...maybe make a contribution. Enjoy the natural surroundings any time of year.

Beautiful place to explore, experience what is best about being in nature. Hikes, gentle walk, places to stop and smell the flowers and look for deer in the distance. Stop along the creek see the fish, frogs and spot the blue herons.

The trail is pleasant to walk on in the fall and spring. However, it is not well-marked, and it was easy to wander off the trail in places.

There are a variety of trails through this nature preserve. They help you to explore the varieties of plants and animals through a guide that you can pick up before you set out or check the internet and download one yourself!

It's a bit cliche, but there isn't much untouched nature left. with all the development and housing booms in the area, what's left. Well, the WVWA has made a point of preserving the quality and integrity of the watershed area. The facility is park museum,...More

A water shed has done an amazing job creating walking paths along the wissahickon creek. Check their website often because they offer cool family outings and events like the Maple-Sugaring Festival where you can help tap the trees for maple syrup!
