Loved the quaintness of this and the whole town. Interactive with iPhone to hear a partial reading of the books these sculptures go with. We also visited the National Childrens Center for Illustrated Literature (NCCIL) -- wonderful place.

Nice place to stop with children if you’re in the area. Note that this is not a playground, but a sculpture garden with cute opportunities for pictures.

One of the things I love about Abilene is the Children's literature sculptures scattered throughout the downtown area. From Everman Park on the South by the Railroad to the Adamson-Spaulding Storybook Garden on the Northend of Cypress St.
