We've been to so many museums on cowboys, the frontier, buffalo, etc. that we thought this would be repetitive. Not so! Great information about the effects of the War With Mexico and the Civil War on Native Americans. I think kids would like it because...More

Through the use of hollogram - you will feel like you're a part of the old west! Older kids love it! Won't wear you out - some walking required.

The Museum is contained in the visitor center. Nicely done with a lot of information about the old Texas frontier. I learned a lot about the American Indians in the area, along with the buffalo hunting and cattle drives. Informative.

So I found myself in the West Texas town of Abilene and had the pleasure of visiting Frontier Texas. This was no small-town roadside attraction! Instead, it was a sophisticated and obviously well-funded museum that included multi-media overviews, hologram "spirit guides" and a variety of...More

This was a great place to learn about Texas. My wife and I were very pleased with how great this museum was. We learned how Texas came about form the days of the earlier settlers to the cattle drives and the railroad.
