Barton Creek Resort is one of my wife's and my favorite places. I have played this course a couple of times now, and my wife enjoys driving the cart and looking at the scenery and houses. The course is always in good shape, even at the beginning of March. The course is beautiful with a lot of rolling hills, streams,... More

I have played this MANY times. It is a great layout and design, one of the best resort courses in Texas along with the Foothills course. I have been playing here for 20 years and this was the biggest disappointment I have ever had at Barton Creek. First we could not get a time, booking 2 months in advance, before... More

The course is tough, but if you hit it straight, you'll do fine. I like that there are red stakes lining most of the fairways, so you don't have a stroke and distance lost ball penalty whenever you miss the fairways. However, a $125 TWILIGHT rate is WAY overpriced. Beautiful and scenic, yes, but I can't justify the price no... More

The Barton Creek Canyons Course takes you for a great tour of Texas Hill Country scenery. This outstanding course is very well maintained. Almost all of the holes have a great vista with several streams meandering through the course to present challenges to golfers. Virtually all holes are cut through the woods so that there is a premium on straight... More

If you have not played Barton Creek, this has to be on the to do list. Twists, turns, blind shots, elevated tees, elevated greens, waterfalls, lakes, putts that break up hill......this course has it all. While it is definitely a challenging course, it is not ridiculous by any stretch. This course is often closed to the public (members only) but... More

As a bogey golfer (on a good day) I was a bit intimidated to take on a course like this, but the design is brilliant. Good golfers will take on the challenge to cut a few corners, and clear the various creeks and sandtraps. A crummy golfer like me can still have a great day resisting the temptation. The elevated... Tom Fazio created a gem on this piece of land . It is rugged but fair. The fairways are wide enough for most golfers but tight enough to bite if you stray too far. The greens are large and fast but have no penal twists . The practice facility is one of the best I have seen. Try the short... More

I was charged $275 to play this course on Sunday afternoon. The fairways were decent, but somewhat burnt-out and most bunkers had the sand washed-out of them, leaving you to play off of baked mud. None had been raked since whatever storm caused the damage. The condition of the greens and tees was good. My electric cart failed after 15... More

Pricey as a resort guest unless you get a package deal. Awesome course. Must play for a golfer when in area. Take time to use the practice area.
