I go there for the Austin City Limits concert, and is huge perfect for walking and bicycle rides, just in the center of the city.

Great great outdoor park! I was able to get a lot of exercise in, interact with very friend locals-- furry and human-- and just have an overall great day! Take a water bottle. there weren't many fill stations.

Such a beautiful spot. Loved the views of downtown Austin. The Japanese Garden was a favorite with the many water features. Just a wonderful spot to enjoy nature

The park is huge and my three year old son had a blast on the playground and on the train that runs every half hour and cruises around the entire outside of the park. My son enjoyed it a ton!

Huge, sprawling area with tons of trails and open space. Centrally located and very well maintained. Space for volleyball, picnicking, and access to several kayak rentals. If you're looking for an outdoor activity in a city, it doesn't get any better than this!

I have been in Zilker Park a number of times after dark and have seen no reason to be concerned, however its a very large park near a big city, consequently I would advise all due caution
