This is a must if you are in Austin. I would recommend taking the time to visit. Wear comfortable shoes.

Was surprised by the average to poor quality of the goods offered in the stores. Very ordinary and disappointing.

See the Capitol a mile and a half away, and see lots of Austin walking by you. A dozen delicious places to eat, and interesting shops, street musicians and a feel for the city.

This is such a fun and eclectic area of Austin! So many unique little shops and eateries. Second hand vintage clothing, to boots, to costumes, to general store items. Gueros has great Mexican food, Torchys tacos is here now, and Hopdoddys, plus so many more! The Continental Club is a great hole in the wall bar with live music onstage.... More

We were told to check out s. Congress and we took a walk from our hotel downtown. Took us about 1/2 hour to walk. Stopped in some shops and ate lunch at torcheys tocos which was average. S. Congress is very touristy with the prices to match. Really not much to see otherwise.

There are a lot of fun little shops on South Congress and the street really comes alive after dark. Triple Threadz is a must see.
