Nice collection of military memorabilia documenting the 36th division. Displays are interesting and do a decent job of telling the stories of important battles.

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon while visiting Austin for the weekend. The front desk gentleman was very kind and there was a quietness of respect in the facility. We went through the exhibits & machinery on display. It is a well kept place that takes donations and we gladly donated in the box. It is nice that they... More

Wow...one of the best Military Museums I have been too! We got in late and the lady said it would take about 2 hours to go through the museum...No way if you are a military buff! Allot of Texas Military history well displayed in sections inside and numerous vehicles on the outside. Civilians can access the base with proper US... More

This place is an active Reserve Training Center, however, their military forces museum is fully stock with military artifacts and memorabilia. It is free to get on the base. Just show ID at the gate and follow the signs to the museum. Free parking in designated areas. It is a nice, interesting, eye opening place. Great for all ages.

My friend who is a teacher had invited me to check this place out with her as she was doing a recon for a potential field trip for her students. My husband asked to tag along since we both are ex-military and he loves the history channel. Make sure you have an ID to get on post since this is... More

I visited here a very long time ago. As a military and history buff, I was in HEAVEN!!! And I kept forgetting that this is an actual military base that is in business currently.

Absolutely loved it here! For someone who was visiting Texas for the first time, this museum went through it's entire history! It was brilliant. The amount of military vehicles was unbelievable. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Austin or even worth the drive if you're a couple of hours away!
