Enjoyed the buildings, bars, people! Enjoyed the best beer in Austin - called the Foreigner! Great place to visit.

A lot has changed in the past decades. Sixth Street (Pecan Street) has morphed into an entertainment district with something for everyone. Places to eat and places to drink along with a few music venues to attend. I just like wandering up and down and...More

Fun place to visit or even have a party, but no one over 20 years old should be here after 11 pm. It is very loud and has a ton of twenty something drunks.

Great area to walk and take in the sites and shops of Austin. Great shops and restaurants. The food was great and the night life and music were equally great.

Loud slop shoot college bars with lots of drug addicts lying on the side walks in the area. Saw more than a few people who looked like they were hanging out waiting for the next drug deal, and several guys who were obviously high, fighting...More

The street is famous for night life. Youngsters roam around the street drinking, dancing whole night. The lively place has bars, restaurants and pubs.

Just a string of bars...skinny-long bars. Bands set-up at the front. Never heard anything special. Bouncers and ID's checked at the doorway. Some candy, donut and pizza places along with several restaurants. Some homeless but not bad

We like the Embassy Suites right on Congress. Get one of the suites on the upper floors if you have kids, it's worth the splurge! Walk across the street and watch the bats come out from under the bridge, then walk up to... More
