This course is in great condition, the people working there are exceptional and we had a wonderful morning of golf. This might not be the favorite course at Barton Creek because it's 40 minutes from the resort, but it's worth the trip. The course is beautiful - especially the 11th hole with the waterfall.

Not much view of the lake (or what's left of it), but a delightful, challenging track. Seven carries on the front nine, some long including the first par three. The back is a bit more forgiving save #13, a long, devilish par four. A fun and fair course. Easily worth the drive out 71. And, be sure to stop at... More

Enjoyed the layout of this course, but beware of the back tee if you can't drive 250+. Many of the holes, particularly #5 and #6 require long drives to set up shots over tree filled gullies. Sadly, the drought has robbed the course of what once were fantastic views of Lake Travis. Several of the holes on the back nine... More

Played this Palmer course outside Austin this weekend through texas golf trail concierge. It was a 70 degree December day and the course was in great shape. Not close to dormant, the Bermuda was still pretty full. This course is open off the tee with narrow approach shots and tricky greens. Long hitters can take advantage of the par 5s... More

If you have a golf package at Barton creek, this is worth the drive. It has houses all over it but is a fun challenging layout.

If you enjoy the challenge of hills, canyons and water, give it a try. The greens are fast and the fairways nice. This a gem nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Don't expect much from the dining facilities but the course will not disappoint you. Barton Creek Lakeside is about 30 miles west of Austin on the shores of Lake Travis.... More

Amongst the four courses, this one rated third according to our group of 20. Try as I might, I honestly cannot remember a single standout hole. The greens are not as severe and undulating as other Palmer courses I've played; a plus. Nor do as many fairways contain blind shots, another plus. But there also was nothing spectacular about the...
