I took the intro to Trad class with Adam and it was great. Full of pertinent information about anchor building and placement of trad gear but by the end of the day I had lead my first trad route! I'm thinking I'll take a crack climbing course from rock about too!

Matt, I'm glad you learned a lot from me in the Trad course. It is a ton of info and Really good to take it from someone with experience. The crack climbing course will for sure put you on top and ahead in the crack climbing world. Thanks again. More

I gave my girlfriend a lead course for her birthday so the two of us could learn how to go climb on our own safely. Russell was our guide and he was an awesome instructor. Just because you are good at something doesn't mean you will be able to effectively teach someone else how to do it. Russell had a... More

Several years ago, I took a rock climbing class with another instructor at Enchanted Rock. There were 4 of us and only one person climbed all the way up. I left that encounter feeling defeated and disappointed, especially since I was the one that had organized the shindig. Jump forward a few years and a couple of kids . .... More

Wow, Thank you so much for the great review. You guys were troopers to start the day and ended up with a gorgeous setting to get some great climbing in. My girlfriend and I are long time climbers and were traveling to Austin for vacation. We were able to climb new and interesting routes and do 6 pitches of great climbing. Amazing and professional staff.

Ben, Thanks so much for climbing with us. I had a great time climbing some of the cool multi pitch routes at Enchanted Rock. The views always as good for me as they are new for you. Especially, with fun people like y'all. Take care and happy climbing. More

My boys (10 and 12 yo) had a blast. Adam knows how to talk to young kids, make them feel comfortable, and encourage them to push through their fears! Boys felt so accomplished when done, and had a great time at it. Bonus, no video games!!

You're right, no video games here. It's the game of real life. No doubt we all have to overcome our fears and learn how to deal with them accordingly. Your kids did great and will do even better in the future. This was a great introduction and next time they will do even better. Thanks for a fun day. More

Booking with Rock-About was easy and convenient online, and Adam was able to accommodate us on only a few days notice. Turned out to be a fantastic morning at Gus Fruh in the Barton Creek Greenbelt. Adam guided for our two daughters (11 and 8) and my wife, all relatively new to outdoor climbing. Gus Fruh is a great little... More

Thanks Dann for the great review. Gus Fruh is definitely my little gem and I'm lucky to be able to put some time in there and for the community build some new climbing. I had a great time with your family and they sure seem to have the climbing bug. It's always great to see the future of our sport... More

Thanks Russell and Adam. You guys have a great gig from start to finish. Russell was our guide today. Family of four, boys 14 and 16. All beginners, never have done rope climbing. Russell was awesome, great teacher and guide. We all loved it and my boys especially took to it. Thanks for an awesome day. Dirt me, baby!

We wanted to plan fun things to do near Austin on super short notice and I'm super glad I picked Rock-About for our climbing adventure.
