Overview
More
Established in 1975 by the late Clifford Antone, Antone's is an iconic blues and R&B venue located in downtown Austin. Over the past 40 years, Antone's has brought Austin a variety of blues and R&B musicians from across the country including greats like B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed, and Buddy Guy, as well as help develop local talent including Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmie Vaughn, Bob Schneider, Gary Clark Jr. and countless others. In 2015, the historic brand was restored and a new team brought the iconic venue back to the downtown Austin landscape with a renewed focus on once again making Antone's the "Home of the Blues."

Huge disappointment! We visited Antone's on last Thursday night and walked there with great expectations of seeing a modern day Stevie Ray Vaughan or at least a good blues band. Wrong, hip hop and rap blaring foul and offensive language. It was embarrassing and awful....More

We are sorry for the disappointment. Unfortunately you happened to visit us during the annual South by South West conference. We are an official SXSW venue and therefore have outside groups and clients who host events and book music during this time. The night you...More

We strolled by after lunch and saw the merchandise from the window. I ended up getting a cool t-shirt and Aretha Franklin vinyl in excellent condition. Also I loved that they played a few songs on the album in the shop for me before the...More

Having been to some other more worn venues in the area, I was expecting much of the same here, but was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of Antone's. It didn't take away from the local charm though or quality of the show, which was awesome,...More

If you have bad knees or hips, this isn't your venue. It's standing room only, except for roughly 20 seats, half of which are usually reserved. Even if you were to get a seat, your situation would be less than ideal, because you can't see...More

Thank you for your feedback. For most shows we have 60 chairs and 20 stools available. A table is usually easy to get at smaller shows or if you arrive early. When we have a full house you can expect people to be standing and...More

I would give this 5 stars if it didn't require standing room only. I understand the difficulties of this and Antone's is a relative institution in Austin. There are limited seating and tables available so if you do want a seat - be prepared to...More

Antone's has been around since 1975 and some of the greatest blues artists have performed here. It's a great performance space, has an excellent bar and still features rocking good music.

I've never been there where there is BYOB. The ticket cost is generally low and there is not much seating so standing room is normal. I don't think they can keep it open if they didn't have a bar. The bar is always open... More

Are you talking about Stevie Ray Vaughn for SRV? If so - you'd hardly be out of place anywhere in Texas. If you love music, you'll love Antones.
