I haven't stayed at the Driskill but have been to the bar/lobby area many times. It is a very unique space and great for people watching. The drinks are great and you can also order snacks from the kitchen. It is not too loud either, so you are able to hold a conversation and the seating is comfortable 10/10 would... More

I booked a much needed getaway at the Driskill because: 1) it's a beautiful, historic building, 2) I heard it's haunted and 3) it's convenient location on 6th St. I had a particularly hard couple of weeks and decided to head to Austin for a couple days of live music and relaxation. The location of this hotel is perfect if... More

Go to the Driskill to see what a late-1800s luxury hotel looked like and make your first stop at the check-in desk to pickup a "Timeline". This gives the history of the hotel and it's various owners and renovations over the years. There is good food here as well, any time of day.

If you like history, then this is the place to stay. Beautiful architecture which will put you back in time. Beautiful suites along with a great staff. Would highly recommend the cafe on the first floor. Try the banana split for dessert or many of the desserts available. A must stay.

The Driskill is beautiful especially at Christmas 🎄 The rooms are nice- food is very good and the Bartenders are the best! But parking is very expensive. Also check your bill I found several mistakes Will definitely stay again.

I booked a room to stay here during Thanksgiving. Weeks before we were due to check in, I tried to call to have anyone answer questions. Forget it; they could have cared less. When I asked for manager with whom to share my concerns, they transferred me to a call center public relations manager who wasn't even on site. She... More

As the title of my review says.. I came here for a few drinks at the bar, late evening-ish with a friend. Excellent, authentic live texas music being played (honestly the band was on fire). By the time I left I found myself wishing I would have stay a few nights.

Had the 7 course price fixed Thanksgiving dinner. My wife had short ribs and I had the turkey. A liitle more gravy would have been nice. The sides were awesome, too. Dan our server did a great job.

My stay at the Driskill was really good! prime spot and very friendly staff. Bar was very good. They must of had some water issues when i stayed because taps and shower were making some funny noises.
