I highly recommend seeing Esther's Follies. The entertainment was raucous, politically flavored, smart, funny and magical. Literally magical. The magic "tricks" were so professional. This troupe of entertainers are so talented. We sat just three rows from the stage and had non-reserved seating. Tickets were...More

A great way to spend a night. The cast has very current material, so everything feels very fresh. No matter what your political views are it would be hard not to laugh and have a good time here.

My co-workers were in town for work and this show came highly recommended by our local staff. IT WAS AWESOME. I am from the midwest but still found the local Texas humor hilarious. Definitely check it out. We bought advance tickets for $30 so we...More

Esther's Follies is always topical and up to date with what's happening in the world. The magician Ray Anderson is the best in the business (and I'm in the magic business). When we have friends visiting Austin the very first thing we recommend is Esther's...More

We brought a full bus of 50 seniors to Esther's Follies for their catered private buffet, and Saturday night show. And we were not disappointed on either count. The beef on the dinner buffet was as good as anything we tasted during our 4 day...More

Very impressive show. I was laughing the whole time. The jokes and skits are very timely. They poke fun at liberal, conservatives, and everyone else. This is one of the best things to do in Austin. The place is right on 6th street so you...More

Esther's Follies was sooo fun! Quick, smart, well-written, current and great talent. The magician knows his craft, the musician is great, and the evening goes at a fast pace. Put this on your list of fun stops when you are in Austin! Well done!

We went here on a weekend trip to Austin while enjoying Sixth Street on a Saturday night. It kept us laughing. It's a small theatre...if you're set on going, spring for the reserved seats for $5 more. Perfect location to enjoy Sixth Street before and...More

The shows on a weekend are the same. However, the script is modified every week to cover different current events. Where I see the most consistency is with the magic act. But, these are always good and always enjoyed... More

It was largely a liberal crowd and liberal-oriented humor, but far less biting than a lot of what you might see on late-night television. If you ever find this sort of humor funny I expect you will enjoy the show.
