Friendly staff, great food, really enjoyed my time there and will be back. My one concern about this place is the mens bathroom. It smelled, I dont know if it needed more ventilation or air purifier or plumbing work, but I was kind of surprised it was not cleaner. Bar it self was kind of hot, but it was very... More

The restaurant is located across the street east of the JW Marriott. I ate here last summer with my family and thoroughly enjoyed in-enough to come back this time. The food is hearty and delicious. I ordered the chicken fried steak with jalapeño gravy. Overall good atmosphere, drinks and food. I'll be visiting again next time I'm through Austin.

Four of us had a business dinner here, as it was just a short walk from the Four Seasons Hotel where we were staying. We had their chicken fried steak. It was a huge portion and was good although I thought that the chicken fried steak that I had at Max’s a few nights ago was a bit better. Cedar... More

Great brisket tacos! Stop by if you are in the area! Inside and outside the place is clean and the staff is very helpful. Also is really close to the convention hall.

The concierge in the Hyatt on 3rd recommended the Cedar Door as matching my request for BBC (aka burger, beer and chips). A long flight from London had left us in the mood for some serious comfort food. A Willie Nelson for my better half and a Patty Melt for me. We had the nachos (shared) to start. They were... More

The ambience here is nice. A mixture of outdoor comfort and Texas decor. The food was very good but some things were a bit expensive for what you are getting. The staff is both very friendly and rude. To your face they are outgoing and friendly but over hearing them talk to other employees or management is a completely different... More

If you like fried green tomatoes, try theirs--they're AWESOME! Drinks are wonderful, including a skinny mexican martini that puts "Skinny Girl Margarita's" to shame. They did have a band playing this past Thursday night--but this is AUSTIN, so live music is part and parcel of what the experience should be. If you want a quiet place to chat--go before 6... More

We were a group of friends that met to talk and drink. They had a band playing and singing. It was to loud to be able to talk comfortably neither were they very good. However, the ambiance on the open deck was pleasant and the servers were attentive. We did not try the restaurant.
