The memorial opens at 9a.m. We arrived a few minutes before 9a.m. Plenty of parking and a short walk to the main entrance. There is an entrance closer to the parking lot for those who may have problems with the stairs. It was Easter, there must have been some kind of service earlier because just as we arrived the workers... More

Visit Old town of Alexandria and stop by this place. Did not go in because it required ticket to go in. A location to see old town from the hill.

We learnt loads on our tour, saw some incredible artifacts, and enjoyed brilliant views of Alexandria from the top of the tower. Very knowledgeable and informative guide, and a very interesting place to visit, particularly if (like me) you don't know much about freemasonry.

Very informational, this memorial houses a great deal of artifacts with a truly realistic portrait of George Washington. Actual seating from the time he served as a Freemason along with the tools used in several buildings that were began in Washington DC. From the impressive entrance, you'll see a huge bronze statue of George Washington along with garb of the... More

A wonderful way to learn about American History through the eyes of George Washington and the Masons. Beautiful works of art and the rich history of the Masons all in one place. The marble and crown molding was simply stunning. They have a guided tour which goes to more areas then the self guided tour. Be prepared to walk and... More

Well worth the time to tour the Masonic Temple while visiting Alexandria and the DC area. Ride the elevator to the outdoor walkway near the top of the building. The view is terrific, especially watching the planes coming and going from Reagan Airport.

One of the best sites to visit in the area. Very knowledgeable guides take you through the history of the Masons. I am not a Mason but it gave me an appreciation of their history and the purpose of this organization. Something the too few people know.

George Washington was a Mason here. The architecture of the building is stupendous. The history is amazing. The decor is not to be missed. Go, just go. You won't be sorry. (You will get in some great exercise, as well as riding an incredible elevator.)
