Beautiful setting for 4th of July. Nice fireworks. Great area for a picnic or any type of family outing. It was also animal friendly.

There are restaurants and bars on the waterfront. You can take a water taxi to the other side during the day (we didn't see operate in the early evening). There is a Torpedo Factor that you can also check out.

Lots of shopping and restaurants. Nice atmosphere , clean. We walked from the Hilton through Old Town lots of of shops and restaurants.

Walked King Street to the waterfront. Just amazing, loved the atmosphere. What a wonderful time. Watching the street vendors and going into the different shops and restaurants. Great time.

Old Town Waterfront is beautiful in any season. Each season takes on it's own character and beauty. Highly recommend walking around down here by the water with your significant other, and grabbing dinner and drinks.

Average as waterfront goes, did enjoyed the street artists ALOT! If you are there, don't miss the Torpedo Factory! It is amazing, you can talk to all the friendly artists personally, love it!

One day should be enough to visit Alexandria. Consider use of the yellow or blue line Metro exiting at the King Street Metro since parking can be difficult. The King Street metro area is icky, but if you like to walk to the... More
