We brew award-winning craft beer. We are open for tastings, pints, growler fills, six-packs and kegs seven days a week. We have tours Thursdays through Sundays. Every Friday night there's live music and food trucks on Fridays and Saturdays. Look out for special events like Firkin Fridays, a Suspicious Package on tap, Lagers & Joggers with Pacers, Beer Yoga, Pedals 'N' Pints, Trivia and more...

History:

Established in 2011.

We opened the brewery with the conviction that the DC market needed more local choices for great quality craft beer!

Paid a visit on a Tues afternoon when Yoga and beer was happening. Therefore the place was quiet with few customers in the tasting area. Had the place to ourselves, almost. Great brews tried several, loved the stouts. Wonderful place to meet and enjoy friends and a drink.

We visited on a saturday right when they opened at noon. We had thought we could get a bite to eat and some beer. They sometimes have a food cart with grilled cheese but it wasn't going to be there until 1 and then would take some time to set up. The bartender was great and offered us some take... More

Booked a tour here to try more of their beers. The tour itself was only okay, it was in their production room which also had a tables where people were just drinking the beer, so it was very loud and hard to hear the guide. Nevertheless, $12 for 6 tasters was SO worth it. The employees were friendly and knowledgeable.... More

Good beer ( recently won best small brewery in US) but the people who work there are all really nice. No pretentious beer snobs here. Tell them what you usually like and they will help you pick a beer you will enjoy. They usually have live music on Fridays and other events through the week (yoga, runs, bike rides, trivia... More

The pineapple on the sign means Port City is open! This local hotspot is close to Old Town near the intersection of Duke & Quaker Lane - south of Alexandria police hq. From food trucks, fabulous musicians, yoga, facility tours, and double wide picnic tables to sit & enjoy - we 💜 Port City! Buy a flight $12 for 6... More

We brought about 12 people over to the Brewery on Sunday afternoon on President's Day Weekend. Some of us did the sampler and were very happy with the range and quality of the brews. Others just bought a glass of their favorites. No one was displeased. They also had a food truck outside and several people munched on some of... More

Port City is a local jaunt for us. We love to bike there, fill growler, hang out, etc. place is great! So why the 4 stars, not 5? Atmosphere...come on gang, the place is always filled. Invest some money into the decor like other breweries. Maybe a few more high tops and some really cool branding that is in keeping... More

I absolutely LOVED Port City. The best part is probably the space itself. It's awesomely decorated and basically like a beer clubhouse with proper tasting room, picnic tables right in the production area, and upstairs area with comfy couches, TV, etc. So much more pleasant than other breweries I've been to which only offer 1 large, overcrowded tasting room with... I was in town for the weekend, and came in on Friday 10/28 to celebrate my husbands birthday. It was pretty busy. Patrons came in Halloween costumes, live music, and a food truck. The Puerto Rican food truck was pretty mediocre; so I wouldn't set your heart on having actual dinner here. Maybe a snack to keep you going, but... More
