We visited on a crisp, sunny day in early November. I was impressed by the sweep of the gardens and the surprising number of plants in bloom, sheltered by magnificent Fall foliage. It was a Sunday, and there happened to be some art shows going...More

Always pick up a couple of ideas on new plants to try or different combinations to use. Plants on sale included some varieties I couldn't find elsewhere and at reasonable prices - and for a good cause.

I happened to visit these gardens early in April during unseasonably cold and windy weather. There were a few things blooming, but most of the more lush greenery hadn't leafed-out yet. No matter, it was nice to walk around and it's a peaceful place. Recommended.

Great place in every season! I visit every week being close to my work--Just to see the new plants and flowers, take pictures and just relax. Always are weddings, and photo sessions going on...it is just that beautiful!

No entrance fee for the garden. I did not visit the house, but there is good info about it on the Fairfax County parks website. I don't believe that there is an entrance fee for the house.
