We had a splendid experience at Gray Ghost! Their wines were delicious, especially Ranger and the Reserve. We bought a few bottles of wine and a glass to enjoy with a picnic.

L 2014 Petit Verdot Rich and intense, Gray Ghost's 2014 Petit Verdot has enticing aromas of dark berry and spice. The palate delivers lush flavors of blackberry jam, ripe plum and dried cherries. Aged for 18 months in French oak, this is an incredibly full-bodied red with dense tannins. Enjoy the 2014 Petit Verdot with grilled steak, spicy pork, lamb,... More

Been going to their Valentine wine and chocolate event for 6 years now and must say as always it was a great day. The wine is always very good and the chocolate well just too much. The staff is very friendly. Great place to bring a lunch grab a bottle and just relax.

On a recent trip to DC, our hosts took us to the Gray Ghost Vineyards and winery. From the first view we were intrigued and fascinated with the vineyards and the history contained within the winery. The artwork is astounding and features the The Gray Ghost: Col. John F. Mosby (Confederate army). The Kellert family is well versed in the... More

This winery is right on 211 and is named after Colonel Mosby of the Confederate Army (nicknamed the Gray Ghost by Lincoln). The owner's daughter was our server and was extra nice. She made my friend and I feel like old friends. The tasting menu had nine wines on it and some were not what I was expecting and all... More

Every time I visit, I feel like I'm a part of the family. Absolutely love the wines here and the servers are amazing too. The owner's daughter, Amy, has always been more than accommodating to even open so my hubby could buy a Christmas present for me last year.
