I worked a summer in the Pentagon pre-9/11 and I wasn't sure that there would still be tours. There are and you have to plan your trip well in advance. We happened to be nearby and stopped in on a Sunday and there are no tours on Sunday. You do not have to go inside on the tour to see... More

After 9/11, I was afraid they would discontinue the Pentagon tours. Thankfully, they did not discontinue the tours but instead they majorly modified it. You will go on a 1.3 mile walk through the 5 rings and several floors of the Pentagon but when you are mostly passing drab gray doors with cryptic markings on them. Due to security, they... More

This must be Pre-booked far in advance, but so worth it! Amazing tour by young military personnel was extremely informative and fun! Our kids are 11-14 and it was fantastic for them , may not be so good for younger once, it depends on their attention span and general knowledge

You get a lot of facts thrown at you from the well prepared tour guides. You also get an appreciation of the massive size of this building. Unfortuantly you really see nothing other than security and a whole bunch of hallways

Apply ahead of time and its something a bit different to do in your travels. Its a pretty impressive place and it was kind of special to get in side. Walked along the corridors in different places and I was surprised at all the shops, coding of working out where you are and visited the 9/11 impact area. Some amazing... More

The truth is ....it's one of the largest office buildings in the world with tens of thousands of workers. I worked at the Pentagon for 5 years during the Reagan presidency and know the building well. If you look at this as a tour of an office building, don't go. You'll be bored. But, if you are excited by being... More

We had a private tour, there are 17 miles of corridors in the Pentagon. We did not walk all of them. There's lot of history on the walls, the memorial is very moving.

While it was very neat to actually be able to go into the building and look around, it is a very disappointing tour! You have to arrive an hour ahead of your tour to get through the security line and then sit in a room for half an hour waiting for your tour to start. The tour is very fast... More

The great collection of art and artifacts on display in the miles of hallway space inside this enormous office building is unknown to most tourists who come to D.C. with a desire to explore American history, and they would be surprised to discover how much there is to see and learn here.

The site is surprisingly accessible to so many people. They do so good job controlling the flow of people and cars. I have visited a half a dozen times for business meetings. Each time, my only complaint would be the badging office and long lines to get screened. It takes entirely too long even when you register ahead of time... More
