This continuing work in progress honors those women who serve or have served. It is a beautiful space, and could benefit from perhaps explanatory signage on "how to visit" this memorial, or would greatly benefit from volunteer greeters who could offer information. The 'data base' would appear to be a wonderful tool once the information is input. Looking forward to... More

Located adjacent to Arlington National Cemetery, the Memorial is easy to access, well organized and has a wealth of facts, artifacts, pictures and information about US women who have served and are serving in our country and its military. Knowing several women who have served in the military from WWII through the present I was impressed with the information contained... More

Have visited the memorial museum several times. Took a young woman with us recently who remarked upon entering, "Weren't women only allowed to be nurses?" She had an eye-opening experience, just after watching the introductory video! Albeit very small, the museum shows how over time women have taken on more and more roles and have played an increasingly greater part... More

This museum has wonderful memorabilia and photos of women throughout US history from spies to auxiliary forces to present day "I can do anything men can do " moments. Do not miss the opportunity to include this beautiful museum in your trip to Arlington. The entrance is hidden among the arches of the crescent with a fabulous view of DC... More

Initially I thought the beautiful structure was just an entrance gate to the cemetery but I discovered a wonderful museum behind the facade. Exhibits trace the history of women in the military. Not interactive but well displayed and very informative. Be sure to climb the steps or take the elevator to the "deck" on the second floor with spectacular views.... More

Often times when touring ANC...the agenda includes JFK Gravesite, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and the Arlington House. There all are wonderful & you should see them. BUT please add this to your list...The Memorial that honors Women's Military Service from the American Revolution to Present Day. Did you know this? 3 MILLION women have served our country in the... This is one of those often overlooked memorials in DC - but please do not forget this incredible gem. This memorial shares the stories of the countless women in the military - and some of their stories which are emotional, heartbreaking and motivating.

This was our last stop after a whole day at Arlington. I regret that we didn't stop here first and spend more time. I didn't realize when we first entered Arlington that there was an indoor component and so we figured we'd just walk by on the way out. I don't know if the exhibits inside change. We were lucky...
