Tells about the Army Air Wing and the Air Force Service from it inception to present and the engagements that the service was involved. This memorial also lets the visitor know in the Air Force or and Army Air Wing won the Medal of Honor. It was a great experience.

A bit of the beaten path in the Capitol and best appreciated from a distance. It's free, parking is nearby and there are no crowds. That's because the Korean, Vietnam and WWII Memorials are so much better. The Air Force lobbied long and hard for their own memorial - too bad this is what was determined to be the best... More

What a surprise. The memorial soars into the air and is a fitting tribute to the USAF. Quiet with a panoramic view of Washington, this is a hidden gem. Parking is available although the memorial is in a bus route. Periodic concerts are a special treat.

This memorial is interesting in its design and can be appreciated as much or more from a distance as up close. We stopped to see it from up close but didn't feel that this added much to our viewing from distance as we approached. Save time and enjoy as a drive by.

Wonderful Concert at Air Force Memorial, singing and music was amazingly good and drill team's performance was awesome. Everyone in the crowd was enjoying themselves moving to the music. Little children were dancing and everyone was very happy to attend. The Air Force personnel who performed, who were working or volunteering, just enjoying themselves watching, in every way were amazing... More

This is a great memorial tribute to all that have served in the Air Force. The sculpture in the middle is huge. Quiet and breath taking.

This memorial is likely one of the most underrated and undervisited in the DC area. It sits on a hill above the Pentagon and overlooks the entire city for a gorgeous view. There is ample, and free, parking available at the memorial. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in town.

The memorial in its self is outstanding but the view around it is a plus. It's a tribute to all airforce past and future. I really enjoyed it, maybe because of the simplicity. Out of the way so no big crowds.
