The Carillion is square tower with 50 bells. Each Sunday night the bells are used with a concert from late May though September. My visit was on a Sunday afternoon, no concert, but the bells were performing some music. One was the U.S. National Anthem....More

Come by just before the hour so you can hear them too. The gardens around them are a less busy place too. Gives you a quiet break from your touring.

Located near the Marine Corps Memorial, the Carillon provides many terrific views of the area. We were lucky to be there as the bells chimed, which made our visit better.

The Carillon and the adjacent Marine Corps Memorial are walkable from Arlington National Cemetery or from Rosslyn Metro Station. The view is one of the best in the Washington area, featuring the Potomac, Mall, and Capitol in the distance. The Carillon grounds have tulips in...More

You can visit it while walking to the Marine memorial, but it's uninspiring and I wouldn't go out of your way to see it

It's hard to tell what it is at first, just between the long walk in Arlington Cemetery and The U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial, its the perfect place to take a break and relax, big open field, sweet bells!

The Carillon is a wonderful gift from The Netherlands for assistance by the US during WWII. The Carillon concerts throughout the summer are terrific, and just being there when the Carillon chimes the time every 15 minutes is lovely. This is adjacent to the Iwo...More

My husband and I walked here late at night since it was close to our hotel and the views were amazing. We sat for a little while and enjoyed the views and all the airplanes coming in! Great place for views of DC.

I never knew of this until we passed it on our walk from the Iwo Jima memorial to Arlington cemetery. It had a neat little write up about how this was a gift from the Netherlands to the US for their aid in the war....More

The most intersting thing is the fact this was a gift from the Netherlands to the US for freeing them from Nazi occupation. Those Dutch are nice people.
