The cemetery is one of a kind. I work at the VA in St .Louis so I am used to military cemetaries but this one is so filled with history and monuments all throughout the cemetery.

Depending on where you are staying you can take a cab or other means of public transportation. There is a shuttle that you can get tickets right at the main entrance. It is a HOHO set up and they provide more than enough... More

No there is no cost. There are many other graves worth visiting as well. It is a very reverent place to be.

If you are very fit you certainly can walk anywhere especially the cemetery, but if you have any doubts look for transportation. It can be very warm depending on the season.
