No visit to DC would be complete without a visit to Arlington National Cemetary & Kennedy Grave. Easily accessible by metro rail

It brings you back to the day President Kennedy was assassinated. His quiet gravesite makes it real! Living history. Stand and reflect. Visit Arlington and don't pass by this place.....

Very moving to see the graves and explain to my 12 year olds about the Kennedy family and assassination. I was overcome with tears when I realized that Bobby and Teddy were buried below them on the hill.

The graves of John F Kennedy and his wife, Jacqueline, are a focal point in the cemetery. Nearby is the simple grave of Bobby, on the slope below Arlington House (Robert E Lee's former home).

Very simple memorial and grave. Beautiful and worth seeing. What tragic outcomes for them as a family.

If you are very fit you certainly can walk anywhere especially the cemetery, but if you have any doubts look for transportation. It can be very warm depending on the season.
