Beautiful horse farm with lovely wooded trail minutes off Chincoteague Island. We arrived a little early and were greeted by Jennifer, a kitten, dog, and an extremely friendly turkey that followed us around while we looked at all the farm animals. The owner was so sweet and informative during our lesson and took pictures for us at the end. The... More

My daughter and I visited Queen Hive Farm for a trail ride. We had a wonderful time. Jennifer was a pleasure to deal with. She showed my daughter and the other two young girls around the farm. Jennifer took great care in explaining the signals for riding and steering the horses, help match us to the right horse, made sure... More

We had a group of 6, two adults and four students. Jennifer and her helpers matched each of us with a horse appropriate in size and temperament. She instructed us all on exactly what to do and what the horses' reactions would be to certain stimuli (for example flies). We all enjoyed the ride and one of students said it... More

We went here on our last day in Chincoteague for a horse tour and couldn't be happier. We did an 8 person trail ride and all the horses were a blast. It's fun to hear all their stories from someone who cares about each individual horse and didn't just collect a bunch of worn out horses to make a few... More

This is the nicest, prettiest, most magical farm I have ever seen. Seriously. It posesses ( to list only a few): a friendly (!!!) male turkey in full plumage, gorgeous peacocks, beautiful horses, a pretty barn complete with swallows flying in and out at sunset, a long-lashed, velvet-nosed cow, kids' playset, large riding ring.... I could go on and on.... More

Our visit to Chincoteague would not have been the same without Queen Hive Farm. We (two children and an adult) enjoyed the best trail ride we ever had. This is a GOOD place for horses which, to us, is the best prerequisite for pleasant and safe horseback riding. Jennifer and her team did a perfect job matching horses and riders,... More

I was so excited to have stumbled upon Queen Hive Farm on the Chincoteague.com page. This is our fourth trip to Chincoteague and while my nine year old son has taken a lesson at the Pony Farm on the island, I of course could not ride there. I grew up with horses and just introduced my son to riding last... More

Queen Hive Farm may be a hidden gem if you've never heard of them! They are just outside Chincoteague. If you're visiting Chincoteague, Assateague, or staying in New Church (Garden & Sea Inn), you may want to look into Queen Hive as a wonderful activity to complete your stay. The staff was very friendly. The staff also seemed young, and... More
