It is a wonderful experience to go aboard this ship and see how people 100+ years ago got around. It is definitely only something I want to look at, not necessarily experience. The best thing about the Lady Washington and her sister ship is that they do training and education with youth. This can be an excellent experience in learning... More

For many years when I came into the Seattle area, I wanted to see the Tall Ships based in Gray's Harbor, WA (not in Aberdeen). But when I visited, they were either coming the next week or were there the last week but now are off and gone. One year they were not in the area all summer. This year,... More

Our daughter and son-in-law gave us tickets for a 'battle sail', for an anniversary present. The young men and women of the crew, did an outstanding job of sailing the ship out into the bay. That day, the battle was between the Lady Washington and the Hawaiian Chieftain. It was very realistic. With all of us landlubbers on board, plus... More

My husband and I enjoyed this cruise on our 5th wedding anniversary and had a BLAST! (Pun intended :) ) Two tall ships battling it out on the high seas with sails and cannon fire made us appreciate modern life! The crew was friendly and well trained, the history and sea shanties made the trip educational, and the cannon blasts... More

We purchased tickets for ourselves and another couple online, but didn’t know in any detail what to expect, other than we'd be boarding the Lady Washington (Washington State's Official Ship), a tall ship with a storied history. Based on its previous sailings in May from Coos Bay and Newport, OR, we’d been prepared for an ocean sailing, and were somewhat... More

For a small fee you can get up close and personal with a historical sailing vessel. The volunteer crew knows their stuff and is willing to answer any questions. There is also the option of taking an actual 2 hour cruise.

My wife and I went on a two hour evening cruise on 5/13/2016 at Coos Bay Oregon and it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. If you ever have an opportunity to take a cruise on Lady Washington I encourage you to definitely do so. The crew was great. Very friendly and extremely informative. Ask them a question and they will... More

The beautiful tall ships are never here! We actually returned on July 4 and saw it. The two tall ships spend 90% of their time at sea or other ports so 90% of the visitors to Aberdeen never see anything more than an empty dock. Wait, did the folks in California put any money in on this project? If not... More

The Lady Washington is a nice way to spend some time if you're interested in seamanship. I like to visit it when it is in the area.
