Emerald Downs is a good venue for race track patrons, small scale reunions, extended family get-togethers, or similar events. Easy to get to, great view of Mt. Rainier and the grounds from all floors, especially from the upper floors with restaurant, etc. Plenty of betting windows and friendly tellers for newbies. If you have a group of 5 to maybe... More

Fun fun fun for the whole family - they have an arcade for the kids! And on a sunny day it is absolutely beautiful....Views of Mount Rainier and you can be in the sunshine! Drinks & food are expensive! But watching the horses run is always fun!! The Quartershoot cafe is a great place to eat first before going in... More

We went for the first time with Grandkids. It was inexpensive as they got in free. The food was more reasonable that other venues in the area, and very good. A recommendation, pay the extra 2.50 and get reserved seats. It is a much better view of the track and the races.

We visited Emerald Downs on Italian Day. It was very fun! Valet parking was $10 and $6 self-parking. In between races there were entertainment (Italian dancers, band (singing in Italian), and pizza eating contest). Easy to bet on races. The was instructions in the program ($2.50) made it easy to make a wager on the race. It was worth purchasing.... More

Apart from a few minor frustrations, this is a great place for a day at the races... vastly superior to Hastings in Vancouver. I particularly appreciate the design of the facility, with the paddock so easily accessible from the grandstand. But I'm puzzled why they have so few staff at the betting windows: I've never waited so long to bet... More

Fields are to small and favorites win 75% of the races. Food is expensive and not very good. People working at windows are inattentive.

Sorry about the service you received but your statistics are far from accurate. Favorites are winning 35% of the races this year, not 75%. And our field size is about 7.5 average per race. Not sure what day you visited. There are days when a lot of favorites win. More

We have always enjoyed watching the horses at the Race Tracks and Emerald Downs we hope will keep going to keep the Racing Spirit alive and not just on TV. Go to the track buy a drink and a hot dog and enjoy the trill of Racing.
