Are there a beautiful view? Yes, but several times a year this beach is improper to swimming due of lack adequate treatment of sewer. You can find good beaches on south and north of Maceio, such as Gunga and Ipioca beach respectively.

The beach is very busy and not very clean. In the mornings the tide is down and there is seaweed and garbage washed up on shore. The farther north you walk on the beach, the more north east you walk on the beach, the more...More

The boat tour to the natural pools in Pajuçara was great! The tour must be done in the morning when the tide is low. The water is crystal clear and we could see several fishes and give them food during the tour!

Close to Radisson Hotel and Craft Market and great for three generations. We had no issues with security during both days.

the beach itself always seemed packed with tons of people trying to sell you something. i really didn't like the area, for a few blocks in from the beach that area didn't look safe at night

It's an urban beach so you can't expect it to be like a paradise beach. But it's a nice one and you have greatbars there.

I was in a beachfront hotel in Pajuçara but this very animated beach seemed unsafe, lots of poor people walking around (not enjoying the beach, please don't get me wrong) and as a tourist I felt like an easy prey. A bit outside of Maceió,...More

Avoid Sundays. Too crowded. You can also book a trip in a Jangada (local fishing boat) to the natural pools.
