We had a private tour guide and truly loved the place. I got plenty of pictures...just remember to turn off your flash.

Lovely Church - one of several in Salvador that you should include on a must-see list - even if you only have a day.
Got a local tour guide, English speaking from the internet, same web site we have used before, we did a tour of the "old town", wife had more fun than I did.
We were very disappointed because, as tourists, we do not think if Monday a historic church could be closed, but it was so. Around the church were in dozens of people who have not potutto admire this wonder of the historical heritage of Bahia
This church incorporates the distinctive characteristics of Brazilian colonial architecture of churches,very baroque features covered in gold leaf. A bit overly rich for my taste but the azuelos are beautiful.
