Very beautiful church. Very rich with sculptures and paintings. Worth a visit if traveling to bahia salvador.

This is one of the most visited churches in the Pelorinho (the historic district of Salvador city). The interior of the Church is known for its elaborate gold guided alter and Portuguese blue tile in the adjoining museum
Its worth paying the entrance fee to look around inside. Only 5 reals I think from memory but the alter was really impressive.
The church is beautiful from both the inside and the outside, and the nearby convent is even nicer. Well worth a visit.

You need to see the fresco in the roof of main entrance... Breathtaking! And also, the amount of details in gold over the Church and the pieces of history... It's a must!
