This museum is in the historical central region ( Pelourinho) of Salvador. It is small but interesting and well worth a visit. The African wooden art exhibits by artist Carybe (Orixas) are alone worth the price of entry.

Check the schedule for special exhibits during your visit to Salvador The museum is still in the process of being restored/ refurbished but there are parts tht can be visited Walkin distance from Pelorinho historic district where you can explore numerous museum
