On Saturday night it was seriously busy and lively, but not in a bad way. Pretty good selection of both mass-produced and hand-crafted goods. Not an incredible amount of variety between the shops. More interesting than the grand Central Market.

Evening market usually quite busy with a great range of arts and crafts and clothing. I found the prices keener than the central market in the city and stall holders willing to barter

Quite large and most stalls sell the same things. Still worth a visit. Bargain a little but not much 🤣

I was really worried about safety, but it is well lit with so many kids and people around. Prices are great, and there is more variety than I thought there would be. Vendors are friendly, but nobody speaks English. You can still figure things out, and I didn't feel ripped off. I got a great Fortaleza t-shirt for $5 US. I bought cashews which were plentiful, large and well priced, hair ties made of bull horn, hot sauce & candies. Keep your valuables CLOSE and do not wear anything expensive (watches, jewelry). I traveled solo as a woman for this trip, and I was cautious, but it was all ok. Artists, food vendors and street performers were all wonderful! Open 6-12 or so nightly. Fun dancers & tons of stuff for sale right next/parallel to the beach. ENJOY!!

It is worth stopping at the ferinha beira mar. It is at least entertaining. If you look like a foreigner you might not get any discount. Prices are prety much the same at all stands.

You don’t have to be a street shop lover to love this feirinha. You will see everything: from great paintings, toys, food, leather, gifts, all type of cloth, etc.

The best feria I have been In america.

It was very active & interactive. There are street vendors and youngsters promoting trips. The market has so many things and if you like handicrafts its gold mine.

This was one of my favorite markets to go to while visiting Brazil. We went three times during our trip and if was always fun to go to after a long day at the beach or of sight seeing. We were able to buy local goods and art or anything we could think of. My husband even bought this shot glass dispenser!

After a rest of the day activities, you can enjoy a walking thru the Beira Mar sidewalk.
This ride can combine several attractions of Fortaleza starting by rovering among the local handicraft corridors, then watching the stand up comedy, restaurants and ice cream store with 50 flavours!

This open marked is packed with cheap local products - local fabrics, crafts, spices, and many other products. Do search for "aviação" tent - a tent with a large inflatable airplane hanging over it. There you will find many local nuts roasted in many DELICIOUS ways. My favourite was the sesame-roasted cashew nut. Save some space on your luggage for a couple of them!
