By far, the best beach in Vitoria metropolitan area. In high summer the north point of the beach becomes too crowded avoid that.

Praia da Costa is a must to see! Good place to practice some exercises like running, walking, play volleyball or just relax on the beach.

Costa beach opposite Spetses had long been a boat trip by hindreds a week, long sandy, nice bar, water sports but alas now it is in ruin, disrepair, closed wrecked hotels, no life. So sad, now a no go destination, cannot believe it

My family lives here and I travel every year to see them. I was on holidays here March 2019 so lets get the bad points out of the way: -Public Toilets=0 -Water temperature variable from very cold to pleasantly warm. -If you you are not accustomed to very hot and strong sun, you will burn!! -Some poverty on the streets with beggars but they get moved on police. Good points: -Great sandy beach with variable waves from none in Sereia Beach to medium waves in Coast Beach to surf conditions in Itapoã and Itaparica beaches ( all in one stretch of sand). Water quality is generally very good. -Food available from long established restaurants to kiosks and to mobile street vendors. I have tried food from all types and never been ill.(lucky ? Perhaps). The state food( Capixaba cuisine) is very good with plenty of fish and meats with vegetables and rice and salads. You HAVE to try the state's MOQUECA( fish stew)! -Plenty of accommodation from big hotels to rooms in houses. -Policing is highly visible due to growing tourism and the state governor living in the area. -Healthcare is very developed due to private medical plans. I cannot comment on the state provision. I hope you will have a chance to explore this little corner of Brasil( most locals consider this to be their paradise and by most standards, it is!)

I'm an Australian travelling through Brazil and have to say that Praia da Costa is the best beach I've been to in ES. Beautiful vista, lots of food and drink options delivered straight to your beach chair. Highly recommended!
