Very Interesting Place

This was one of the interesting places to visit. The story behind it made it nice and the transformation the place underwent is just great. A really must see place.

Beautiful and original venue, perfect to buy original souvenirs or just to enjoy the beauty of this old prison located in the heart of Belém that was converted into a handcrafted/artisan centre.

This is a nice space that seems not to have lived up to original expectations, or hasn't quite achieved them. But if you're a fan of gems and minerals, the museum is a draw. Also offers some tourist shopping, food, and an air conditioned space to relax a bit.

Nice place to know what is happening with the ore from Para. One of the main source of a variety of otes and exotic fruits of the globe. An old jail that has turned into a useful museum.

The former Convent of St. Joseph dates of 1749, built by the first jesuit priests in Belém. Along the years, it has been used as convent, military barracks, warehouse, hospital and prison. In 2002, after being totally and beautifully restored, it was brought to life again as one of Belém's most active cultural centers. As it is not far from... More

I really enjoyed the experience there. The space is not so big, it has a little museum of precious stones with relative history, a beautiful garden and a place in which you can buy gift and regional dresses.
